Principals address to prospective year 6 parents
Dear Parents and Carers of Year 6,
As our Year 6 students prepare to transition to high school, we recognise the importance of this exciting milestone. It marks the beginning of a new chapter filled with opportunities for growth, learning, and exploration. We are dedicated to supporting each student during this time of change and are confident they will continue to thrive as they embark on this next stage of their educational journey.
Throughout Semester 2, we will offer a variety of teacher and student led transition opportunities. Students enrolled at MSHS for 2027 will also take part in our Transition Day during Term 4, where they will get a preview of what Year 7 will be like. These transition programs are designed to help students feel comfortable and connected to high school before they start Year 7.
For those considering enrolling in Year 7 (or other years) for 2027, we have created an Information Booklet to guide you through the process. Additionally, our Info Hub is available with further details.
If you would like to discuss enrolments or any aspect of our school, please feel free to contact our front office. Either our Deputy Principal for Enrolments, Greg Stirling, or I would be happy to assist you further.
We look forward to seeing you all at our Information Evening on Thursday 14 May, where we open our doors to share our great school with you. The evening will begin with an address in the school hall at 5:30pm sharp. Following this, self-guided and guided tours will be available.
Yours sincerely.
