What do you see when you look through YOUR telescope? Our partnership with the ANU Mt Stromlo Research centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics allows our students to see more clearly and skill up in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics (STEAM).

Telescopes are powerful enough to look back in time to where stars once were. To observe forces strong enough to form planets. The clearer our vision is, the clearer our understanding. By understanding how the past and present came about, we can better forge pathways and shape our future. Be the change you want to see in the world (Mahatma Gandhi).

Mount Stromlo High School is a coeducational comprehensive public high school providing a quality education for every student from Year 7 to and including Year 10 in the Weston Creek and Molonglo Valley areas of Canberra since 1969. The student Voice is heard through an active Student Representative Council, with student leaders elected to represent the school. Students also participate in a range of teacher-led outdoor excursions and overseas trips. Mount Stromlo has a differentiated approach to individual learning needs. Graduates go on to lead rewarding and fulfilling lives. Come to Stromlo and be who you want to be, realise your ability and learn to manage yourself. The place where science dreams come alive!
