Enrolments

Principals address to prospective year 6 parents

Dear Parents and Carers of Year 6,

We are at the time of the year when parents and carers, and year 6 students begin thinking about high school. The transition to high school is a very exciting time for families.

This year we will be hosting our Information Night on Thursday 23 May 2024. The evening will begin in the school hall at 5.30pm. From there Year 10 students, and staff will lead tours of the school for our prospective students and parents. The evening is a wonderful opportunity to get a feel for our school community and the great things your child will learn at Mount Stromlo High School.

Throughout Semester 2 we will be providing both teacher and student led transition opportunities. Students who are enrolled at MSHS for 2025 will participate in our Transition Day in Term 4 where they will experience what Year 7 will be like. These transition opportunities are provided to help assist students to feel comfortable and connected to high school prior to beginning Year 7.

To support those looking to enrol in Year 7 (or other high school years) for 2025, we have also developed an Information Booklet. We also have our Parent Portal available with further information.

If you wish to have a deeper conversation about school enrolments or any element of our school highlighted in the information booklet, please contact our school front office. Either our Deputy Principal supporting enrolments, Aisling Murtagh or I will be happy to discuss things with you further.

Yours sincerely.
